CAPALBIO and surroundings
Capalbio is an ancient village surrounded by the Maremma countryside.
Within its walls you can breathe the atmosphere of centuries past, walking through the alleys, small squares and ancient walkways, you have the impression of going back in time.
Today Capalbio is a tourist destination that can appreciate the art, nature, and flavors of an extremely protected and safeguarded place.
In the village of Capalbio, from the crenellated tower of the Aldobrandeschi castle and its walls, you can admire a panorama of extraordinary beauty. Among the highlights are the 15th-century church of San Nicola and the Oratory of Providence, with its fresco attributed to Pinturicchio.
Nature as a whole, the WWF oasis near Lake Burano, the sea, and the very long beach are a precious asset for Capalbio.
Capalbio's food and wine are equally impressive: its wines and game-based cuisine are internationally renowned.
We conclude by recalling the magnificent work of the artist Niki De Saint Phalle which is the Tarot Garden.
